Full Moon in Libra – April 16, 2022

Art by Kirsten McKinzie

This Saturday’s Full Moon at 26º46’ Libra highlights the tension within our relationships.

The Aries Sun has been barreling ahead with its own goals and desires, but now the Libra Moon has stopped it in its tracks. “What about me?” she pleads. “What about others?” This is a time to consider reciprocity and whether everyone’s needs are being met. A tight square from Pluto could bring passions to the surface, exposing uncomfortable truths. Issues around power, money, resources, and taboos are especially sensitive now. We would be wise to examine our triggers rather than simply react to them. Do the dirty work and pull out the weeds at the root this time.

Helping us strike a balance is Saturn in Aquarius, a stern but wise mediator who provides a healthy dose of reality. Practical to the bone, Saturn looks for solutions. Hopefully, its trine will be enough to counterbalance the quincunx from elusive Neptune and Jupiter, who tend to water seeds of longing and despair, or idealism and fantasy. When channeled more productively, however, they can also cultivate spiritual connection and creative inspiration.

With all of these forces combined, it may be time to let go of something or someone. Pluto and Saturn symbolize death and separation, while Jupiter and Neptune mean dissolution and release. Try to view the situation through an objective lens—employing facts and reason will help you see things more clearly.
